Difference between TPU industrial caster and Pu universal caster
Caster TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer) is a new plastic variety. Because caster TPU has

good processability, weather resistance and environmental protection, it is widely used in shoe

materials, pipes, films, rollers, cables and wires and other related industries. Polyurethane thermoplastic

elastomer, also known as thermoplastic polyurethane rubber, referred to as caster TPU for short, is a

(AB) n-type block linear polymer. A is polyester or polyether with high molecular weight (1000-6000),

B is diol containing 2-12 linear carbon atoms, and the chemical structure between ab segments is

diisocyanate, usually MDI. Thermoplastic polyurethane rubber is crosslinked by intermolecular hydrogen

bond or slight crosslinking between macromolecular chains. The two crosslinking structures are reversible

with the increase or decrease of temperature. In the molten state or solution state, the intermolecular

force decreases, and after cooling or solvent volatilization, there is a strong intermolecular force

connected together to restore the properties of the original solid.

Polyurethane thermoplastic elastomers include polyester type and polyether type. They are white

irregular spherical or cylindrical particles with a relative density of 1.10-1.25. The relative density of

polyether type is smaller than that of polyester type. The glass transition temperature of polyether type

is 100.6-106.1 ℃, and that of polyester type is 108.9-122.8 ℃. The brittleness temperature of polyether

type and polyester type is lower than - 62 ℃, and the low temperature resistance of hard ether type is

worried about that of polyester type.

Polyurethane thermoplastic elastomer is characterized by excellent wear resistance, excellent ozone

resistance, high hardness, high strength, good elasticity, low temperature resistance, good oil resistance,

chemical resistance and environmental resistance. In humid environment, the hydrolysis stability of

polyether ester is much higher than that of polyester ester.

Polyurethane thermoplastic elastomer is non-toxic and tasteless. It can be dissolved in solvents such as

methyl ethyl, cyclohexanone, tetrahydrofuran, dioxane and dimethylformamide. It can also be dissolved in

the mixed solvent composed of toluene, ethyl acetate, butanone and acetone in an appropriate proportion.

It is colorless and transparent and has good storage stability. PU polyurethane is the general name of

polymer compounds formed by the reaction of diisocyanate or polyisocyanate with compounds with more

than 2 hydroxyl groups. Its main chain contains many repeated NH coo groups. Commonly used

diisocyanates include toluene diisocyanate (TDI), diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI), hexane

diisocyanate (hd), isophorone diisocyanate (IP DI), dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate (HMD I),

polymethylene polyphenyl polyisocyanate (Papi), phenylenemethylene diisocyanate (XDI), etc.

According to the different hydroxyl components used, it can be divided into polyester type and

polyether type. It can be used for manufacturing plastic products, wear-resistant synthetic rubber

products,syntheticfibers, hard and soft foam products, adhesives and coatings. Casters TPU and

Pu casters are essentiallycomposed of the same material. But when making these two compounds.

They use different formulations. These two compounds are divided into many kinds of properties.
The characteristics of the compound made with different formulas are not the same. These

characteristicsrefer to mechanical and physical characteristics.
